Glu completes merger with Ifone

Numerous reports on the Internet say an official announcement of the completed merger between mobile gaming companies Glu Mobile and Ifone should arrive later this week. The merger creates a $250 million company with ambitions to be listed on the U.S. stock market soon. Former Ocean and Atari boss David Ward launched Ifone five years ago. The company said it would turn over $25 million this year, up from $11 million last year. Obviously, this is a move to better compete in the mobile gaming sector following last year's acquisition of Jamdat by EA Games.
