mBlox and Bango forge partnership

The recent wave of M&A in the mobile content sector has stirred the pot with some looking to jump on that bandwagon and others looking to partner up. mBlox and Bango forged an alliance this week to meld their services. mBlox Chairman Andrew Bud said the companies are building a network or an alliance as opposed to an "empire." An empire may offer a complete end-to-end solution, but best-in-class offerings are signs of a more mature market. The two services include Bango's "browse and buy" technology, which enables users to look over content and then purchase it on their phone bill by credit card or by PayPal and Bango's billing platform, and mBlox's mobile transaction network, which provides the delivery and billing capabilities to power this user experience.
