Cingular is taking its first steps into the mobile music game with Clear Channel radio, launching a streaming radio program in conjunction with New York's Z100. In addition to streaming, subscribers can find song titles and artist names for the last 10 songs played, get songs on-demand, make requests and access podcasts as well as other content.

The subscription service will cost $3 a month. Clear Channel plans to add about 100 other local radio stations nationwide over the next year. The service will contain ads that will appear on the phone display during loading times, with DKNY serving as the first sponsor.
