Mobile media company SendMe announced its acquisition of off-portal mobile community mbuzzy. Financial terms were not disclosed. The mbuzzy platform provides online and mobile environments for subscribers to interact, share user-generated content and stay connected on the go--the deal adds community and social media components to the SendMe portfolio, which also includes D2C mobile content site SendMeMobile.com and auction-style game SoLow.com. "The mbuzzy deal is a strategic acquisition for us on two fronts," said SendMe co-founder and CEO Russell Klein. "First, it strengthens our commitment to giving users the most expansive and personalized mobile experience out there; and second, it provides our media partners with an unmatched environment to create even deeper customer engagements through an always-on mobile connection."
