The day after the official launch of Disney Mobile's latest MVNO, the enablers have finally been revealed officially, too. mPortal provided its Springboard smart client and Springboard content delivery manager to the MVNO, in effect powering much of the mobile content features for the service. Look for more form mPortal in the future--once you get one MVNO on the Sprint network, others are sure to follow. Korean OEM Pantech is providing a customized version of its DM-P100 fold-style phone, which features a color display, external caller ID, a built in camera with embedded flash, speaker phone features, SMS and MMS, and voice activated dialing. Convergys will provide its Infinys Rating and Billing software and professional and consulting services. Visage will provide the service delivery platform.
Finally, and it's no surprise, Brightpoint is powering the inventory management, custom packaging, reverse logistics and fulfillment services for Disney, as it has for many other MVNOs, including HELIO, Amp'd Mobile, Virgin Mobile, Mobile ESPN, TracFone, Movida, Primus, Boost, IDT and XE Mobile.
