GCap Media announced it chose Flytxt's Neon mobile marketing platform for its upcoming mobile marketing delivery plans. Flytxt's Neon mobile marketing tool sends and receives messages, targets the relevant audience, tracks the results of that activity and feeds that back into a database and reports on the data in real time. The platform also enables mobile campaigns to be executed by members of the marketing team without reference to the IT department or a specialist agency. The two companies began working together in April 2004.
"Mobile has long become integral to our stations' programming, marketing, sales and listener interactivity. Being able to manage the full range of mobile activity ourselves, in-house, is critical," director of New Media at GCap Tom Laidlaw said in a prepared statement. "Neon is the best platform we've yet seen, it has the most sophisticated and flexible features whilst also being extremely usable. With it we are able to really effectively exploit the mobile channel and offer the best possible experience for listeners and advertisers alike."
