Mobile voice solutions provider VoiceSignal announced a partnership with mobile advertising firm Third Screen Media to provide ads for its new VSearch voice-driven search application. The free VSearch service enables users to access information and mobile content by speaking search terms into their wireless handsets--VoiceSignal's speech recognition engine converts the query to text, transmitting requested listings and relevant advertisements back to the device. VoiceSignal responses currently include business phone numbers, locations and maps--the company says future versions of VSearch will include traffic and weather information, movie listings, stock quotes and sports updates.
