Island Def Jam Music Group and mobile multimedia provider mSpot announced the imminent launch of IDJ Radio, a streaming-radio mobile subscription service spotlighting the hip-hop, R&B and reggaeton music synonymous with the Def Jam brand. The product of a two-year developmental cycle, IDJ Radio will feature a series of six streaming radio stations as well as on-demand music videos--Island Def Jam and mSpot said an operator partner will be named in conjunction with the service's official debut on Oct. 23, during the CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2007 event in San Francisco.
