Mobile media services provider Nellymoser debuted Music Companion, which promises users a personalized mobile music experience while enabling operators to promote and merchandize acts, genres, labels and live events. The latest Mobile Advantage Pack serviced delivered via the Nellymoser platform, Music Companion features cross-linked music news and information from content partner Muze, including sound samples, headlines, artist bios, discographies, tour dates, recommendations and reviews. Music Companion is based on personal and location-based preferences, and enables users to share opinions via artist ratings and poll participation.
"Our new Music Companion elevates the mobile music experience by breaking down vast catalogs to provide relevant, engaging content based on subscriber locations and personal preferences," said Nellymoser president/media development and chief content officer Dick Wingate in a prepared statement. "No longer will people have limited music discovery and information on mobile phones. Now they can get in-depth and timely access to their favorite artists, tours or venues, as well as hear related or similar artists, within a single service."
