British mobile operator O2 named Matt Ward its new head of music. Ward comes to the carrier from mobile video firm Mobix Interactive, where he spearheaded the consumer proposition team charged with the creation, development and management of consumer-focused mobile live services. At O2, he will lead music strategy, music services and management of all music customer propositions. "Having successfully established ourselves in the digital music space and with the integration of music services into sponsorship properties such as The O2 and O2 Wireless Festival, Matt's appointment will further strengthen the delivery of new and engaging content for our customers," said O2 head of content Grahame Riddell in a prepared statement.
