Mobile advertising marketplace AdMob announced the launch of AdMob Mobile Analytics, a free solution promising measurement of mobile website and advertising usage. According to Admob, the analytics solution gives mobile website owners insight into their audience by tracking site performance metrics like unique visitors, duration of visit and page performance as well as user details including geography, operator and device model. In addition, it offers visibility into a site's sources of traffic including search engines, direct traffic and advertising. AdMob Mobile Analytics operates independently of the firm's other services, and does not require advertising spend or publishing activity with the AdMob mobile advertising network, which serves more than 2.5 billion mobile banner and text ads per month.
