Verizon Wireless announced it will team with Nickelodeon Kids and Family Group's teen-focused AddictingGames site to introduce Qwikies--i.e., Flash-based mini-games including Fling the Ferret, 50 States and Flip the Bird--to the mobile platform. According to Verizon, Qwikies mobile games will feature high-score capabilities enabling players to post scores to a daily community leader board from their phones and text scores to friends--new games and content will be added each month. Qwikies are available at $4.99 for two uses, $6.99 for four uses and $8.99 for six uses.
In addition, Verizon Wireless will partner with game developer Mobitween to launch Mobigamz, a Flash Lite-based mobile gaming portal enabling subscribers to download, play, rate and post high scores from titles spanning the sports, arcade, puzzle and board categories. Mobigamz titles are available at $2.99 for one-time use, $5.49 for three uses and $8.49 for six uses.
