Verizon announced an agreement with NBC Universal to deliver NBC's coverage of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing across all three of the operator's platforms. Verizon Wireless' V Cast mobile video service will offer daily Olympics highlights, breaking news, results and medal standings, and related content. The deal also includes video-on-demand programming available via Verizon's FIOS TV service and live web streaming. The Summer Olympics take place from Aug. 8 to 24.
