MySpace is the leading mobile search term of 2008 according to web services giant AOL's annual countdown of the year's top mobile, web and video queries. AOL--which determines rankings according to the people, places and topics that receive the largest volume of web and mobile search queries on its AOL Search and Truveo video search engines--reports AIM was the second most searched term on mobile, followed in descending order by iPhone, MocoSpace and Facebook.
AOL released a free Truveo free video search for Apple's iPhone platform in July. Since that time, the most popular iPhone video searches include the sappy "Christian the Lion" clip, singer Leona Lewis' music video for her hit "Bleeding Love" and president-elect Barack Obama's victory speech.
