Mobile marketing solutions provider Scanbuy announced a joint agreement with DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers and flexible and specialty rigid packaging manufacturer Printpack to use Scanbuy's 2D barcode technology for flexible packaging applications. Scanbuy's ScanLife solution enables consumers to scan two-dimensional barcodes with a standard camera phone to automatically display a specific mobile website and launch video clips--users can then view and share that information via social networking communities. Printpack and DuPont P&IP will now offer the Scanbuy solution to customers, enabling brands to add 2D barcodes to virtually any flexible packaging surface from shrink sleeves on beverages to pillow pouches on snacks. The codes will offer consumers recipe ideas, coupon offers, nutritional information and more.
