Name: Louis Gump

Why they were a mobile content leader: Gump is a visionary in the mobile content space who was responsible for leading the Weather Channel's wireless efforts. And as an active member of the Mobile Marketing Association's board of directors, Gump helped establish many of the guidelines for the mobile marketing and advertising arena.

Career path: Gump joined the Weather Channel in 2001, where he handled several roles including director of mobile products and services and finally vice president of mobile for Weather Channel Interactive.

Where they are now: In June, Gump left the Weather Channel and joined CNN as vice president of mobile, where he will be in charge of leading CNN's mobile business from Atlanta.
