Xumii - Five mobile social networking services

Still in closed beta, Xumii is something of an enigma, but it has already received $4.3 million in venture financing and the attention of operators on the strength of its core concept. For all intents and purposes an open mobile version of Yahoo oneConnect, Xumii enables subscribers to use their favorite communications tools and services to connect with all their social communities via one centralized application. The beta also promises to include features like presence and availability, offline communications, microblogging, media sharing and personal message boards--in short, pretty much everything you'd hope for from a mobile social networking app.
