24-7 Entertainment adds EMI's DRM-free catalog
European B2B digital music provider 24-7 Entertainment announced an agreement with EMI Music to offer the label's DRM-free catalog to its network of digital store partners. German digital media retailer Weltbild and Nordic region retailer CDON have already inked deals with 24-7 to release the EMI catalog, which features MP3-format downloads at 320 Kbit/s. According to 24-7, more than 1.2 million tracks in its catalog are now available in a DRM-free format. "EMI wants to give music fans the best possible digital music experience," said EMI Music global head of digital Barney Wragg in a prepared statement. "With this new agreement with 24-7, even more consumers will be able to purchase our higher quality DRM-free downloads and play them on any music player."
