3Guppies debuts photo sharing app for Facebook

Tools

Mobile social networking service provider 3Guppies announced the availability of its mobile application on Facebook Platform, promising users an efficient and free method to download photos posted on the popular social networking website to any mobile phone. Unlike similar applications, Facebook's 47 million users do not need to have the app on their handset--or even use Facebook--to receive photo messages via 3Guppies. The company launched a widget with similar functionality for other community and blog sites in earlier this year, sending close to two million media files to cell phones since that time. "We make it easy to get content from the web to the phone," said 3Guppies CEO John Dearborn in an interview with FierceMobileContent. "By reducing barriers to sharing content, we make this an easy service and an attractive one."
