Accenture lands Origin Digital

Global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing firm Accenture announced it will acquire rich video capture, transformation and delivery services provider Origin Digital in an effort to accelerate its clients' multi-platform digital revenues. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Accenture, Origin Digital's expertise spans the mobile, broadband, IPTV and video-on-demand platforms, and its technology will enable the creation of a full suite of Accenture-branded digital media managed services. Last year, Accenture acquired mobile content repurposing and distribution firm Digiplug.
