Ad-supported gaming firm Didmo goes international
Scandinavian mobile advertising firm Didmo announced plans to launch its ad-supported mobile content platform in the U.S., U.K., Germany and Spain. Didmo delivers free, full-version mobile games in an an ad-supported shell for 24 hours. Users must view four-second full-screen ads prior to gameplay, with the company reporting click-through rates 500 percent higher than traditional WAP advertising. According to Didmo, the model enables consumers to try before they buy in addition to generating revenues for publishers via game sales. The company boasts strategic partnerships with operators Telia, Halebop and Tele2 as well as online portals including Nokia MOSH, and GetJar.com "Our platform enables us to deliver full-screen, high-quality advertising to users with a built-in campaign management system for advertisers, including real-time statistics on impressions, click-throughs, demographic data and more," said Didmo co-founder and CTO Rikard Björklind in a prepared statement.
