Airborne Entertainment pacts with Marc Ecko

In other fashionable news, mobile entertainment publisher and provider Airborne Entertainment announced a partnership with designer Marc Ecko to create ringtones, ringbacks, wallpapers and related content inspired by his *ecko unltd., Zoo York and Cut & Sew brands. Ecko's signature rhino logo will also grace Airborne video and gaming services scheduled for rollout in early 2007.

Founded in 1993, Marc Ecko Enterprises now includes 12 separate apparel and accessories lines as well as an urban magazine, Complex, aimed at male readers ages 18 to 34. In early 2006, Ecko released his own video game, "Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure," which is slated for a feature-length adaptation under the MTV Films banner.

"Marc Ecko Enterprises is a company that not only is strong in design, but their strength in marketing and courage to do things most others in the space won't, will allow us to create a new breed of mobile product for a new breed of mobile customer," Airborne president Andy Nulman said in a prepared statement. "From his roots in graffiti art to his current status as a fashion and entertainment powerhouse, Marc can provide limitless raw material and inspiration."
