Akoo, Universal Music partner on location-based service

Location-based media and marketing services developer Akoo International announced a multi-year, non-exclusive licensing agreement with Universal Music Enterprises, making available recordings and videos from parent Universal Music Group's vast catalog via the firm's m-Venue platform. According to Akoo, m-Venue is an out-of-home multimedia network that enables patrons of a venue to access site-specific audio and video content using SMS, mobile web or Wi-Fi; features include a music identification and discovery service and a digital storefront for over-the-air download purchases.
