Alltel debuts Axcess TV en Español

Alltel Wireless became the latest U.S. carrier to launch a Spanish-language mobile television service with the premiere of Axcess TV en Español, a slate of more than a dozen Latino-themed channels assembled in conjunction with broadcast services developer MobiTV. Channels include the children's network ¡Sorpresa!, ESPN Deportes, Discovery en Español and Barrio 305.

"Alltel Wireless is proud to provide our customers with applications and services that fit their interests and lifestyles," said Alltel senior VP of product management Wade McGill in a prepared statement. "We value our rapidly growing Hispanic customer base."
