Alltel goes face-to-face with Avatars

Alltel Wireless announced the debut of Alltel Avatars, a 3D animated MMS greeting service enabling subscribers to create their own personalized greetings. Powered by multimedia platform provider Vidiator, Alltel Avatars offers users hundreds of pre-produced greetings as well as templates to create their own greetings via user-generated content--users may add emoticons, personal audio clips and digital signatures, as well as animate images from their photos, complete with text or audio messages. Alltel Avatars are available across all of the operator's video-enabled handsets optimized for 3GP files--greetings start at 99 cents each.
