Alltel Mobile Advisor app debuts

Even post-Verizon merger, Alltel Wireless continues to introduce new mobile efforts--the operator has announced the launch of Alltel Mobile Advisor, a free, preloaded application promising subscribers more efficient and intuitive access to data services. According to Alltel, the Mobile Advisor platform enables subscribers to optimize their calling plans, respond to offers for premium content like ringtones, wallpapers and games, and view instructional videos on how to use their device's particular bells and whistles. Powered by the Vocel Interactive Messaging platform, which enables single-click responses to mobile alerts and offers, Alltel Mobile Advisor is preloaded on new Alltel handsets--customers with other selected devices may download the app directly from the Alltel Shop.
