Alltel signs up for AAA Mobile

Alltel Wireless announced an agreement with motoring and leisure travel organization AAA to launch the GPS application AAA Mobile via the operator's Axcess Shop. AAA Mobile enables Alltel customers to receive visual and audible directions to AAA-approved points of interest and related sites, including Diamond Rated hotels and restaurants, as well as access AAA member roadside assistance. Powered by navigation and local search firm Networks In Motion's LBS platform, AAA Mobile is available for $9.99 per month or $2.99 per day on Alltel handsets including the Samsung u520, LG AX8600, Samsung r500, Motorola Z6M, Motorola V9m and Motorola V3a.
