Alltel teams with Txstation for at-game marketing

Alltel Wireless announced an agreement with mobile marketing firm Txtstation to provide promotions to fans at select sports properties sponsored by the mobile operator. Per terms of the deal, Alltel and Txtstation will team to deliver real-time text messaging features at five sponsored properties, highlighted by the "Alltel Fan Poll," which asks event attendees to offer their opinions by transmitting a text message to the stadium's video scoreboard--the results are then broadcast for mass consumption. The companies said additional properties are currently under consideration and may be added to the campaign at a later date.
