Amazon.com will begin shipping its much-anticipated Kindle Fire tablet on Nov. 15, announcing a series of new applications available for the Android-powered device. Highlights include Hulu Plus, which offers access to thousands of popular TV series and movies for $7.99 per month--earlier this week, rival Barnes & Noble stated its competing Nook Tablet also touts Hulu Plus integration. Amazon adds that the Kindle Fire also boasts access to apps like ESPN ScoreCenter, Netflix, Rhapsody, Pandora, Twitter, Facebook and The Weather Channel as well as popular games from publishers including Zynga, EA, Gameloft, PopCap and Rovio Mobile.
