Amobee teams with Cooliris for three-dimensional mobile ads
Mobile advertising solutions firm Amobee will partner with digital content provider Cooliris to introduce three-dimensional ad campaigns promising marketers a more compelling consumer experience than conventional mobile promotions. Amobee will implement Cooliris' Immersive 3D Ads technology, which touts instantaneous banner expansions and touch-enabled interactions supporting real-time virtual product experiences.
Cooliris introduced the Immersive 3D Ads technology in conjunction with a Samsung Galaxy SII smartphone campaign optimized for Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPad tablet. In tandem with the rollout of Immersive 3D Ads, Cooliris announced the launch of AdJitsu, a standalone business unit that will work with brands on 3D-enabled mobile campaigns.
The Cooliris partnership further expands Amobee's advertising product portfolio. Earlier this year, Amobee unveiled a proximity marketing model combining traditional outdoor media with mobile technology, leveraging subway billboards, bus stop signs, movie theater lobby posters and other outdoor media formats to reach users via SMS, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The Amobee solution can both locate consumers and identify their handset model, promising 100 percent measurable campaigns.
