Aniboom inks mobile animation deals

Multi-platform animation network Aniboom announced a series of deals with mobile entertainment destinations and distributors including MobiTV, Thumbplay, Buongiorno, Cellfish, Jamster, and Player X, which the firm said broadens its content reach to more than 200 million potential mobile consumers worldwide. According to Aniboom, MobiTV plans to leverage its library of independent cartoons to create a new animation channel. Aniboom simultaneously launched a new mobile production initiative, calling on creators to develop original animated content for distribution and viewing across the handset platform. The firm promises animators guidelines to develop and monetize mobile content, complete with original music to score their productions as well as feedback from mobile consumers.
