AOL's Platform-A debuts mobile ad solution for iPhone
Web services giant AOL announced its Platform-A digital advertising unit will launch a targeted mobile ad solution optimized for Apple's iPhone. Offered via Platform-A's Third Screen Media mobile subsidiary, the solution promises to serve ads specifically tailored for iPhone mobile browsing across the Third Screen network as well as the Advertising.com web network or any of AOL's other media properties. In addition, Third Screen Media will redirect users to iPhone-optimized versions of marketer websites. The solution also includes an inventory partitioning tool enabling publishers to assign specific percentages of their inventory for allocation based on any combination of ad network, subject area, location or related criterion. According to AOL, the Platform-A web display network reaches 90 percent of the Internet audience, meaning Platform-A could conceivably deliver up to 75 million ads to iPhones in a given month.
