Apple: 90% of all iOS apps downloaded at least once per month
Ninety percent of all 700,000 applications in Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) App Store are downloaded at least once every month, CEO Tim Cook revealed at today's iPhone 5 launch event in San Francisco.
"There's something [in the App Store] for everyone," Cook said according to The Verge. "And believe it or not, every app has its fans." He added that the average iOS device owner uses more than 100 apps in all: "It's a revolution. It's phenomenal."
Apple has now sold more than 400 million iOS devices in all, including 84 million iPad tablets. The iPad now dominates 68 percent of the worldwide tablet market and generates 91 percent of all web traffic originating on tablets.
"I don't know what these other tablets are doing," Cook cracked. "They must be in warehouses or on store shelves, or maybe in someone's drawer.
