Apple: App Store downloads eclipse 18B

Consumers have now downloaded more than 18 billion iOS applications from Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) App Store, the computing giant announced, adding that iPhone and iPad owners continue to install more than a billion new apps every month. The App Store now touts more than 500,000 iOS applications in all. Apple also revealed that its Mac App Store now touts more than 100 million downloads in less than one year. Release
