Associated Press debuts AP Mobile 3.0
The Associated Press announced the launch of its expanded AP Mobile news application, capitalizing on new features in the iPhone OS 3.0 software update to introduce new features including breaking news alerts and cut-and-paste. According to the global news network, the free AP Mobile 3.0 is highlighted by Push Notifications, which offers news alerts even when iPhone users are not currently in the AP app. In addition, the application now enables users to select and copy snippets of stories to share with friends via the iPhone's new cut-and-paste functionality, and save stories directly to free digital service Evernote. The enhancements follow on the recent introduction of AP Mobile's new Front Page feature, which enables iPhone and iPod users to customize their own front page according to more than 50 different categories of news information.
