AT&T adds mobile DVR programming to U-verse

Tools

AT&T announced its U-verse television subscribers can now schedule and manage recordings from their AT&T mobile phones and devices. U-verse TV and Internet customers can search TV program listings, schedule program or series recordings and manage or delete stored DVR content via mobile handset, expanding on the service's existing web remote access functionality. AT&T said it also plans to make the feature available to customers of competing wireless operators.

"Any television viewer can relate to the frustration of forgetting to program his or her DVR. Now, whether they're at the airport or stuck in traffic, AT&T U-verse customers can rest assured they won't miss their favorite shows," said AT&T Consumer chief marketing officer Rick Welday in a prepared statement. "This is one more way that AT&T is putting customers in control of their entertainment experience."
