AT&T partners with Juniper to bulk up mobile security
AT&T (NYSE:T) is teaming with Juniper Networks to develop a new mobile security platform allowing consumers to better protect their devices and data against malware and virus attacks. AT&T vows to deliver a comprehensive security solution that integrates wireline and wireless security policies for consumer, enterprise and government customers. Consumer efforts will also provide application monitoring and control. The AT&T announcement follows a day after rival Sprint (NYSE:S) and Intel-owned security tech firm McAfee announced plans to roll out McAfee Mobile Security and McAfee Family Protection Android Edition, a pair of mobile applications designed to help subscribers protect their phones and related data from loss, theft and malware.
