Bango debuts mobile web analytics service

Mobile web solutions provider Bango launched Bango Analytics, which promises insight into how traffic interacts with mobile websites and which marketing campaigns are most persuasive. According to Bango, the hosted analytics service provides data on user backgrounds, locations and behaviors free from any vendor allegiance, drawing on profiles of millions of users across networks from around the globe without revealing any personal information. Bango Analytics will crunch data including unique visitors, their respective handsets, countries of origin and network affiliations, most popular content, search-term results and total marketing ROI. "It's not enough simply to measure how many visits you get to your mobile site--you need a deeper understanding of what those visitors are doing," said Bango CEO Ray Anderson in a prepared statement. "Bango Analytics adds greater insight and clarity not available until now."
