Bango delivers new mobile web analytics tools

Mobile web solutions provider Bango unveiled Bango Analytics v3.0, which promises to help website owners determine the value of their mobile sites by accurately tracking the volume of unique visitors browsing their content. According to Bango, v3.0 complements existing campaign analysis functionality and features enhanced image tag technology to identify unique users and quantify conversion rates from mobile marketing campaigns. Each individual who clicks an ad or browses a site is assigned a privacy-protected Bango User ID compiled through WAP gateway profiling, data from browser analysis, session information and network interactions; the ID enables Bango to distinguish between new and repeat users. A recent Bango survey indicates that 80 percent of mobile website owners cite the daily/weekly/monthly number of unique visitors as an important metric, followed by mobile marketing conversion rates/effectiveness (71 percent), new/repeat visitors (58 percent), data about visitors' handsets (54 percent), location (50 percent) and visitor network affiliation (41 percent).
