Bebo goes mobile via NewBay

Mobile multimedia and social networking solutions provider NewBay Software announced an agreement with social network Bebo, enabling users to upload images and text, browse profiles and receive text alerts via mobile handset. Orange UK was named as the first operator to launch the Bebo mobile service.

"Our support of Bebo demonstrates our commitment to provide mobile operators with complete solutions to enable mobile multimedia lifestyles and monetize user generated content," said NewBay chief marketing officer Nagappan Arunachalam in a prepared statement. "Bebo is one of the top online social networking services and one of the services operators wish to offer their mobile subscribers."
