Bell Canada premieres Mobile Movies service

Bell Canada announced it will launch the country's first full-length, pay-per-view mobile movie download service. Dubbed simply Mobile Movies, the carrier service will stream films directly to subscriber handsets and boast DVD functionality including fast-forward, rewind and pause. Bell Canada will charge C$5.99 per feature, allowing consumers unlimited views within the rental period, which depending on the film in question ranges from 24 hours to seven days. Disney's Buena Vista International Television and Sony Pictures Television International have signed to license new releases and classic titles to the service.
