Bell Mobility debuts content access controls

Tools

Canadian operator Bell Mobility and its youth-centric Solo Mobile subsidiary announced the introduction of a content access control solution enabling parents to limit their children's access to mobile web content they deem inappropriate. The solution--based on Unipier Ltd.'s Intelligent Policy Manager content identification and filtering system--offers parents the tools to apply guidelines in real-time to any over mobile content; to activate the Parental Control service, payment-responsible account holders must visit My Bell or Solo Mobile websites and follow the instructions on password-protected sites. Parental Control is available on most Bell and Solo handsets for $5 a month on both prepaid and postpaid accounts.
