Berggi scores $9 million in funding

Mobile messaging services provider Berggi announced a strategic partnership with Spanish communications services provider Avanzit, which also agreed to invest $8 million in the firm. Adara Ventures, Berggi's current VC investor, will contribute another $1 million to the company's coffers as well. According to Berggi, the investment anticipates the August debut of its next major platform; its first service, BerggiMail, is currently available via AT&T and Sprint.
