BlackBerry Partners Fund invests $3M in Neuralitic
Mobile data analytics service provider Neuralitic Systems announced a $3 million investment from the BlackBerry Partners Fund, which will take a stake in the firm per terms of the funding agreement. According to Neuralitic, it has now raised more than $10 million in the last four months--existing investors includeVertex Venture Capital, BDC Venture Capital and Go Capital Fund. Montreal-based Neuralitic provides analytics solutions to mobile operators and communications providers, promising insight into real-time performance characteristics of mobile data products and services.
Research In Motion and financial data and services giant Thomson Reuters formally announced the BlackBerry Partners Fund in mid-2008--the $150 million venture capital fund was created to invest in mobile applications and services for the device maker's BlackBerry OS as well as rival mobile platforms. In October, the fund announced investments in location-based city guide Buzzd, mobile commerce firm Digby and mobile travel software provider WorldMate.
