Boost, Intercasting team on social networking
Boost Mobile announced an agreement with mobile social networking company Intercasting, whose Anthem platform will now power the MVNO's "Social Zone" social networking category. The deal promises Boost subscribers access to social networking sites including LiveJournal, Vox, Xanga, AsianAve.com, BlackPlanet.com, Faithbase.com, GLEE.com, MiGente.com and Intercasting's own Rabble, enabling users to view photos, send and receive messages, post comments and search profiles.
"Today's influential youth are helping drive the exponentially growing online social networking world and our young customers have made it known that they want access to the same sites on their Boost Mobile phones, if it's an intuitive experience," said Craig Thole, Boost Mobile director of value-add services. "And, as new social networking sites continue to arise and our subscribers' favorites change, Intercasting will be able to work with us to make those available to our subscribers quickly."
