Britain's Channel 4 acquires stake in Mobile IQ
Mobile web solutions provider Mobile IQ announced a strategic partnership with British public service broadcaster Channel 4. According to NewMediaAge, Channel 4 will acquire a 10 percent stake in Mobile IQ, its technical partner since early 2006--since that time, the firm has deployed the broadcaster's direct-to-consumer mobile services, as well as content portals delivered via operators Vodafone and O2. Channel 4 and Mobile IQ said they will collaborate on new video-based mobile advertising opportunities, promising clients more targeted ad services.
