Call Genie, vlingo team on multimodal mobile search

Mobile local search and advertising solutions Call Genie announced a partnership with speech recognition solutions provider vlingo to deliver a multimodal mobile search platform enabling consumers to access information via natural language requests. The combined solution promises Call Genie customers increased automation rates for directory assistance and local search inquiries and reduced operational costs as well as an improved customer experience offering both voice and data access to search information. Call Genie adds it will continue to support Nuance and other voice-enabled platforms through its open voice XML interface capabilities.
