CBS Interactive adds Google exec
CBS Interactive announced the addition of former Google head of advertising sales strategy Patrick Keane, who will serve as executive VP and chief marketing officer of the network's digital media arm. Keane will be assigned to assist CBS in monetizing new inventory generated by next-generation multimedia platforms as well as spearheading online research, reporting and analytics, competitive research, sales training and search engine optimization. Keane's addition is the latest in a series of moves made by CBS Interactive since Quincy Smith took over the division late last year, culminating in the creation of CBS Mobile earlier this month.
