CBS launches mobile zone in Manhattan

Tools

CBS is creating the "CBS Mobile Zone" in midtown Manhattan where a WiFi network will enable New Yorkers with WiFi-enabled cell phones to access the Internet for free and make VoIP calls.

When a user fires up a WiFi-enabled cell phone, he or she will be greeted by an ad-supported home page that includes breaking news, sports, weather, music, wallpapers, ringtones and more. Citi and Salesgenie.com are the first sponsors of the home page.

See this press release for more details.
