CBS Mobile News Hurricane Center launches

CBS announced a partnership with meteorological services provider AccuWeather and mobile advertising network Quattro Wireless to launch the CBS Mobile News Hurricane Center, a made-for-mobile severe weather resource enabling users to track late-breaking and targeted thunderstorm and hurricane updates. Part of the CBS News Mobile website, the CBS Mobile News Hurricane Center invites users to register their zip code to deliver immediate access to local information whenever they visit the site--AccuWeather will supply all weather updates in near real-time, complete with live radar updates and storm tracker data from its meteorologists. The site will also offer geo-targeted information from the National Weather Service on Hurricane Warnings and Hurricane Watches.
